Source material
The Source material tab is a dedicated area in Kumite Help. It appears on the right side of the workspace, behind the draft area. Use this tab to provide additional information or reference material for the AI to use when generating or editing your drafts.
To provide the Source material content, follow these steps:
- Click inside the large text box to activate it.
- Copy the desired text from another application, document, or source.
- Paste the copied text into the activated text box.
This process allows you to supply the AI with relevant background information, requirements, technical data, or examples for your documentation task.
The AI uses the information you provide in the Source material tab as a reference. This helps the AI understand your requirements and produce more accurate and relevant drafts. For example, if you are drafting a technical manual, you can paste technical notes, product specifications, or process descriptions into the tab. The AI will consider this material when creating or updating your documentation.
You can use the Source material tab to:
- Paste background information, requirements, or technical data.
- Provide examples or reference content from other documents.
- Ensure the AI has access to the most relevant and up-to-date information for your project.
The information you provide in the Source material tab is for one-time use only.
Note
The AI uses material from the Source material tab only for the current draft or editing session. It does not store, retain, or reuse this information in future sessions.

Knowledge base
The application maintains a document knowledge base. The knowledge base provides reference material for all discussions. The AI can search the knowledge base when you request more information or when additional reference material is needed.
The knowledge base helps users access relevant documents quickly. It supports efficient information retrieval and improves the quality of responses.
The application support team can help you set up and manage the document knowledge base.
Note
Only Word documents (.docx) and PDF files (.pdf) are supported as source material in knowledge base.
Example of using the knowledge base
This example demonstrates how to use the knowledge base to update document content with model-specific information. The artificial intelligence first identifies all placeholder values in the draft. It then searches the knowledge base for relevant information and replaces the placeholders with accurate, model-specific data.
- Sample user query: Replace the placeholder values with information found in the knowledge base for the ZX-9000 UltraVision model.
- AI response: I have replaced all placeholder values with information from the knowledge base for the ZX-9000 UltraVision model.
